GARDEN ROUTE - 4 DAY ROUND TRIP

This is the most popular overnight tour from Cape town.  The route includes some of South Africa’s most magnificent and diverse natural scenery.  Spectacular mountain passes, tranquil lagoons, ancient lush forests and pristine beaches.  It also offers the opportunity to traverse the arid yet fascinating little Karoo – land of the ostrich, Cango Caves, quaint towns and picturesque farmlands.

DAY 1

We depart Cape Town early over the Hottentots Holland mountains into the rolling farmlands of the Overberg.  After a brief stop at Mossel Bay, historic site of the first Portuguese explorers we continue to George – gateway to the Garden Route.
We stop at the famous viewing site at Wilderness where you can see the endless beaches and the tranquility of this coastal village.  As an option you can board a steam train for a spectacular coastal journey.  We reach Knysna in the late afternoon where we check in at a comfortable guest house.  Dinner will be at one of the popular restaurants in the town. Outeniqua Tjoe Choe
